Historic hotels in Streeterville

Streeterville occupies the lakefront just east of the Magnificent Mile, on land famously built up from the shoreline in the late 1800s. Today it is a district of high-rises, cultural institutions, and hotels with some of the best lake-and-skyline views in Chicago.

Navy Pier, the riverwalk, Northwestern’s downtown campus, and the Mag Mile’s shopping are all within a short walk.

Three very different stays. The Ritz-Carlton occupies floors fifteen to thirty-one of Water Tower Place, an elevator ride above a hundred shops. The Wade is a 33-story tower over the lake, moments from Navy Pier. Hotel Saint Clair is the quiet one, a 1920s building relaunched as an independent boutique.
